Unit 3 Evaluation

Our group has 3 members and they are: me(Henry) ,Rachel and Jess. locating roles between us was easy as we each had good qualities that would help us with our media project and those roles are rachel as the actress, jess as the planner and actress and me as cameraman we chose these roles because they matched our strengths and those strengths are that i have good leadership skills leadership skills and i am also well organized. Jess was in charge of the planning and some minor acting this is mainly because she is well organised and good at english so she can organize and type up the documents with great ease the reason we also gave her an acting role is because due to lack of people available.  we assigned rachel the role of actress as she takes part in regular drama classes and as she outgoing and confident she is also full of energy so it was a good way for her to realize that energy. the main weakness for the group is that we all easily distracted as well as us all having our own flaws and weaknesses. my main flaws is that i talk too much which distracts the other group member which then postpones the production and i am also to controlling as i want the camera shot to be in a certain way. rachels main flaw is that she can't get into character quickly so it takes longer for the shot to be successful. jess has many flaws such as she doesn't take directions she also is very immature when it comes to filming and more importantly she cannot prioritise which is a really big concern as she is in charge of the planning section.

Our final piece was well planned but unfortunately due to us taking too long to plan our deadline of finishing filming was getting close so we had to cut out some scenes so our plan was not well stuck to so instead we all decided to come up with a new layout to the music video. If I were to be shooting the music video again i would use more camera angles as i feel that the camera angles we used were simple and  i would like to explore more camera angle possibilities. Although planning is important I feel that we spent too long planning our music video instead of actually shooting it i think this is the main reason we got a bit behind in our shooting.

we used a range of techniques in our product most of them we used while shooting. we also linked the music to the video as i feel that is the most important thing in a music video e.g. when the music was sad and depressing we made sure the video piece being played was also sad and depressing we did this by desaturating the video at that point then as the music's mood got happier we made the video brighter and more colorful

overall i feel that my music video went very well as we kept to the main story line and plan also i also think that the video when completed was very professional and appealing
